Potatoes

Tomato

Sweet pepper.

How to Cook Sardines and Potatoes?

First of all, boil the potatoes in a pot for about 10-15 minutes. In everyday life it’s a most used method, so you can use this time to cut the onions and peppers into pieces.

After 10 minutes of boiling, you should drain out most of the water from the pot, but leave some in there – just enough to create steam inside.

Then add chopped onions and sliced sweet pepper. Cover with the lid and cook together for 5 minutes.

Then add sardines, which were previously drained from their can to the pot. Stir everything well.

Add salt and pepper according to your taste and let it simmer for another 5-7 minutes under a closed lid or until potatoes are done.

I hope this recipe will help you diversify your everyday meal. You can also use it when you have friends over for dinner or when you go on a picnic 🙂

Recipe Note

In everyday cooking, I use onion and sweet pepper as a base for cooking. You can add them to pretty much any dish like rice, potatoes, meat, or even fish.
